How to Measure Ring Size

FINDING YOUR RING SIZE
The average ring measurement for women is a size 6, however yours may well differ from this, so it’s best to double check. We’ve put together this handy guide (pun intended) to help you measure your ring size, all from the comfort of your home.
We want you to find the perfect fit, whether it be for yourself or by secretly finding out someone else's ring size for a gift. Our printable ring size guide is an easy way to find out your size using two different methods. Simply download, print and follow the instructions to determine your ring size.
Just a note, our guide is a printable desktop download so if you are viewing on a mobile screen, the ring sizer will appear smaller and give an inaccurate measurement.
HANDY HINTS
Before you begin taking your measurements, here are a few tips to help you get the most accurate sizing when finding your ring measurement.
Our dominant hands are generally slightly larger — make sure you measure the intended finger on the correct hand.
Rings with wider bands will fit a bit tighter. If you plan to measure one of your existing rings, try to measure one with a similar width band to the ring you want to purchase.
Make sure your finger is at normal body temperature — fingers can shrink or expand when hot or cold.
Your fingers tend to change size throughout the day — the best time to measure your finger is at the end of the day.
If your knuckle is bigger, take two measurements and choose a size in between — rings need to fit over the knuckle but not be too loose or it will shift around.
HOW DO I MEASURE MY RING SIZE AT HOME?
What ring size am I? Let us help! We know that shopping online for rings can be a little tricky, but our ring size guide can help you find the best fit – and don’t forget, we always offer free returns, so you can shop risk-free. There are two simple methods we use to help you measure your ring size at home, download our ring sizer here and follow the instructions below to find your perfect fit.
1. Find a piece of non-stretchy string about 6” long, or a strip of paper about 6” long and 1/4” wide.
2. Wrap it snugly around the base of your finger.
3. Using a pen, mark the point on the string or paper where it overlaps, forming a complete circle.
4. Compare the length of the string or paper to the lines on the paper in our ring sizer download to determine your ring size. If you are between sizes, order the larger size.
Find a ring that fits you or your intended recipient.
Using our downloadable ring guide place the ring over the circle making sure the inside of the ring lines up with the outside of the circle. This measurement refers to the inside diameter of the ring.
Please note: This is a printable desktop download. If you are viewing on a mobile screen, the ring sizer will appear smaller and give an inaccurate measurement.
So you’ve found the perfect ring to gift someone special, now you need to find perfect fit. The best way find the right ring size for your gift recipient is to sneakily borrow an existing ring of theirs (that fits the correct finger) and use our ring size guide to determine its size.
